We want to make this get together something fun and interesting for all – so we are going to break it into 3 different sections throughout the day:
Beginners:
This is for persons that have heard of WordPress, but know little beyond that. This will cover things like what is wordpress, how to get started, etc.
* WordPress Installation – set up
* Plugins – what are they, how do you find them, etc.
* How to write a post or page (and what is the difference between the two)
* Proper Blogging etiquette.
Intermediate:
This is for persons that have a basic understanding of how to make / create articles using WordPress, but would like to take the next step to more advanced concepts.
* Social Media – what is it, and how to use it
* Intermediate Plugin use – combining multiple plugins to get things done, etc.
* Basic Seach Engine Optimization (SEO) – how to get you some good publicity on the internet.
Advanced:
This class is for the WordPress veterans. You have extensive experience with WordPress, and are somewhat comfortable editing themes / plugins and want to get more out of your blog / site.
* Advanced SEO – Creative techniques to help you get publicity beyond the churn & burn style of link building
* Analytics – how to improve readership on your site, what the numbers mean and how to make persons want to follow your blog
* Theme and Plugin – for the persons that enjoy code, this will involve discussion on creation of themes and plugins…and more.
